This was astoundingly and refreshingly high quality for the highpriced It was easy to put together, looks great, and very solid and strong. I’ve purchased other cardboard versions of creative writing of recognized artisti value sorters, salaried in regards to the same price, and 1 year later the thing was sagging and falling apart. This one is way better. The frame and vertical pieces are made of thick decent-density particle board, strong enough that you could without apparent effort stack another unit on top, and the horizontal pieces are hard press-board that are not likely to warp. This is the best quality sorter I’ve seen that didn’t cost $300-400 or more. I will unquestionably be buying another one of these for the office.

Got for my classroom. Works great! Would be nicer whether or not the back was not cardboard.

This was exactly what my daughter wanted for her classroom. It is very sturdy and will last years of teaching. A small pricey, but really comparable in price with others.

I do like this product, notwithstanding for my needs, it is not sufficient. I am a initial grade teacher and the major ruination with these mailboxes is that the the slots in which the paper is to go into is in no way secure. They are propped up by four small metal pegs and are effortlessly knocked off the pegs by my students when getting their papers. They then have a difficult time putting them back on the pegs. I as well feel the black plastic strip where the labels are supposed to go is way to small. Not even the labels that come with the product fit well on the black plastic strip.

My product was also a little nicked in places due to delivery. One wooden piece had the corner snapped off. I was capable to call customer service (Discount Office Items) and they sent me a new piece with no problem.

After spending at least $100 dollars on this product, I’m sad to say I will go back to using my cardboard Classroom Keepers mailboxes that were actually perfect for the job!

I use two of these cabinets with so a heap of locking trays for my beading….I have a LOT of beads! These cabinets keep me coordinated and make it easy for me to be creative. They are super sturdy, and versatile, since the shelves are all removable, I can use spaces for taller items as needed, and reconfigure whenever I want.

I’m a rubber stamp demonstrator and have gone through several cheap creative writing of recognized artisti value racks with cardboard shelves that finally sag from the weight of the cardstock. So I was looking for something that would hold up better. This one is only slightly more money than the higher end cardboard racks and it is SOOO much better. Sturdy, looks nice, it is EXACTLY what I wanted. I was nervous regarding putting it together but it has picture coded directions and is super easy. If I can do it, any individual can! I love this product and plan to order a second one. Couldn’t be more pleased.

I was a bit disappointed when I unpacked this item; it’s all faux-wood with artificial laminate and heavy cardboard. But once I got it all assembled and the little black edge pieces attached and the unit into place I thought it looked astoundingly good, far better than I’d initially feared.

The instructions are clear enough — it took perchance 45 minutes to assembled The box itself goes together in possibly 15-20 minutes; the rest of the time is to tap in the 36×4=144 little steel pegs that hold up the shelves.

Note however: I am an engineer by mindset, education, and profession and I still managed to screw up and get the right-most cabinet side in backwards (with the holes pointing outward instead than inward). Since the dowels holding the case together have water-activated glue there was no disassembling and fixing, so I just employed my drill to run the holes that were erroneously on the outside all the way through the board so I could tap in the shelf pegs. This was wholly my mistake but I was being heedful and STILL made a mistake, so be certain to “measure twice and cut once”.

I do think the unit is over-priced for what it is but, hey, clearly the market will bear this price — I did buy it and am in general happy I did.

I wanted to find solid and sturdy “mailboxes” for my classroom. I rapidly learned that many of the organizers appear nice, but they’re actually made of poor quality cardboard pieces. After verifying there were no cardboard or flimsy parts, I ordered two of these shelves. After searching everywhere everyplace teacher supply stores) and online, I concluded these were the best for my purposes. I needed at least 65 slots.

They arrived in boxes weighing over 50 pounds (too heavy for one person to lift). I prefer heavy and sturdy to the other light and flimsy options on the market. These are made of strong particle board with a laminate finish.

Assembly: Good directions were provided. I used an electric screwdriver and a hammer to assemble its It took about 45 minutes to assemble 1 organizer.

My students love having extensive mail slots and this is one purchase that has left me with no regrets. My classroom smelled like a lumber yard for a few days and there was rather a bit of dust in the air, but the scent has disappeared and the organizer is withstanding the wrath of the 5th graders.

This literature organizer worked well for us. We use it for other documents, but it is still very usefule, it looks great, it is quality product and to my consideration is very inexpensive.

I purchased the Fitbit Aria scale since I had already been using a Fitbit Ultra and have been tracking steps, distance, calories burned, flights of stairs climbed, active score, and sleep statistics with my Fitbit Ultra already. This Aria scale integrates in nicely on the Fitbit.com site, and the weight and Body Fat% statistics show up in the dashboard right underneath the steps and other stats. You might then drill down farther to get the individual measurements over time and see so many charts over time too.

One thing to note: configured was very easy, but you do need to use a WIFI connection to do the set up configured whether or not you try to do the set up over a Ethernet wired computer that does not as well help WIFI, the set up won’t work). I brought a laptop that was running over WIFI into my bathroom to do the set up and that worked great. I already had an account on Fitbit.com so that made configured even easier. setup only took a minute or two – you just need to acknowledge your password for your network since you will enter it for the duration of the setup procedure. My network uses mixed mode 802.11 b/g/n and WPA2 encryption, and the scale connected no problem.

The thing I in truth like with regards to the scale is that you might earn weight badges for every 5 pounds lost, so that is motivating to see on the Fitbit website and in your email inbox. These show up under your acquisitions division on the site, in the same place that your steps and flights badges are whether or not you have a Fitbit step tracker too.

As far as accuracy is concerned – I do see a very slight fluctuation in the weight and BF% numbers when I take repeated measurements. You may set privacy so that others can’t see your weight and BF% results, and you may specify privacy by groups (i.e. friends Vs public). You also assign a 3-character name to each person person DAD, initials, etc) and then the scale will send the information to the right account for each measurement.

The scale also has a guest mode, so whether or not somebody that is not registered to the scale weighs themselves on it, the information will post to your account under GUEST. That is a small stealthy I think…. the individuals won’t recognise their weight was just recorded. And note that you can delete measurements from the website too, for those guests whether or not you want or even your own if you perhaps take a measurement at night right after eating and it is assorted pounds higher than your morning measurement. I quintessentially only keep my morning measurements and delete any I take later in the day.

As for value – I do think it is a little overpriced. At perchance $99 or $79 it would be a outstanding deal I think, but if this allows me (along with the Fitbit Ultra) to at last achieve my weight loss goals then I guess I’d have to say that the price was worth it!

There is not much for a printed ‘owners manual’ included so that my offset such a good deal of people, but you genuinely don’t need one since the initial step is to go to the [...] internet website and you will get all the selective information you need there.

All in all, I am genuinely pleased with this scale. It sure is keeping me honorable with my weight loss goals since I have my account opened to my family members to see so it offers built in accountability. Thanks for reading.

Update: since humans were asking – I bought the scale at a local store since they became available in stores prior to Amazon having them available online. Amazon started retail them on 4/30/12, but I bought mine locally on 4/24/12 and have been using it since. I am an avid Amazon shopper but in this case I didn’t want to wait!

The Fitbit Ultra and companion dashboard are quality merchandise with an aweinspiring customer service to back them up. My Fitbit Aria was delivered today and was setup within minutes of unpacking it is Weight seems exact when comparing to our old scale (after continuous neverending scale at the gym and Wii Fit board.

My firstborn weigh in synced to my account right away.

I added my wife to the scale and she weighed in, but the scale showed “GUEST”. By going into the dashboard and navigating to the Aria settings page, I toggled the guest information to her account and the sync was complete.

I recommend this product if are planning to or are currently using other Fitbit products. They all incorporate nicely: Fitbit Ultra (pedometer), Fitbit Aria (scale), Fitbit Dashboard website and Fitbit Mobile App.

I am an avid FitBit user, so when the Aria scale became available, I waited for a review (one giving it 5 stars) and ordered. As with all Amazon purchases, it was delivered promptly. box was HUGE, but that is another issue — I at times wonder who genuinely is thinking regarding packaging at Amazon!) I wanted to use the scale with my husband, who is a fit athletic man who happens to wear a pacemaker to manage atrial fibrillation. I don’t recall seeing a warning with regards to the scale and humans with pacemakers prior to purchase, but it was on a rather big label on the scale inside the box. So here is my basi big BUT — the per person cost of my scale just went up because I will be the only one using it is My only other “but” is that the surface of the scale is huge — it takes up more floor space than my old digital scale. I am hoping the glass surface is strong enough to manage a few bumps here and there in our tiled bath area. The set-up was in truth simple — I am thinking that users who are raring may give rise to difficultnesses for themselves by not reading the directions. If you have utilized a FitBit, you will note that the syncing is very alike with the scale, although there seems to be a lag amidst weighing and syncing (1 -2 minutes). I am happy to have a scale that gives a more accurate body fat percentage, and this will have to help make weight control a more interesting, fewer discouraging and hindering routine by giving me more than just pounds to watch.

First off, no manual but a quick get started card, so you’ll want to go to the fitbit web website and read the manual first. It’ll simplify things.

Setup was a ache in the butt. If you don’t have a smart phone or a wireless laptop, you cannot configure the gimmicks Both methods require going to a internet internetsite on the phone/laptop, running so many software, altering your wireless access point from your regular one to the scale, configuring the scale, then switching back to your regular access point. Clearly a product designed by 20-somethings that grew up with facebook and smart phones, and are comfortable with jiggling wifi settings. NOT a high touch install and setup.

For whatever reason, our one wireless laptop would connect to but not allow configuration. I never tried to figure out why, just employed the smart phone. This induces a circumstance where the phone wants to look for the scale to configure it, and the scale must be in setup mode, but the phone procedure was cumbersome enough that the scale would sometimes time out of setup mode before I got to the percentage of the setup where the phone would look for its Then you have to remove a battery, wait ten seconds, go back to the phone and restart the setup and try to get it done before it times out again.

It was to the full or entire extent non apparent to me how to add other users. But in reading the manual you set up the primary person, and then they go to their gadgets on the fitbit dashboard and from there they can invite up to 7 more persons by sending them an email. When they click on ‘accept’ in the email they’re added to the scales users. I did not go far enough to decide how you would tell it quintessentially who was who if you had a lot of people on its It can tell the difference amid people if there is a huge weight discrepancy, say my wife being 120lbs and I’m 180. So it knows which of us is which when we step on. But if we had a teenager that was close to my wifes weight, you’d have to have a way to tell its Whatever that is!

Only other thing I brought up from removing and replacing the batteries 57 times is that the springs that hold the battery at each end seem like they aren’t the firmest or best made. Hopefully it wont require battery changes that often.

Once set up, it worked fine. The scale takes your weight and then extrapolates the fat % and BMI based on your sex, height, weight and so forth. There is a ‘lean’ or ‘athletic’ option because this type of calculation does not work for people with low body fat content. Each time you step on the scale it weighs and calculates the bmi and fat % and uploads it immediately to your fitbit dashboard. The integration is nice, as I can weigh myself repeatedly across the day and have it pop up automatically.

I cited that like the fitbit ultra, the dashboard doesn’t report the battery status of the unit correctly. The laptop said the scale was down to 1/4 battery but they were brand new, and my other computer says it has almost a full charge.

So a large quantity of improvement on the setup polishing (this would have been a lot easier with a usb port on it and so many such a heap of and I anticipate they’ll have galore frustrated returns of the product until that area becomes push button less sophisticated Also looks like there needs to be a little more polishing around the user interface on the computer end as well, but I’ve already found a number of bugs in the fitbit web sites Hopefully they’ll get there.

My fixed experience with fitbit support wasn’t pleasing. They’re only open m-f during extended business hours, they do not do phone or chat, and they take a day or two to respond to an email. Mine specifically noted that my fitbit ultra wasn’t working at all and that I’d tried upgrading the firmware and resetting it, but it was dead. Two days later I got the most unhelpful suggestion to upgrade the firmware, which I’d already said I’d tried. So instead of trying to process a return with this 24-48 hour turnaround email support, I just returned the fitbit to amazon and got a substitute from them.

Very cool technology. We have two ultras and the aria. I’ve lost 60lbs so far, but most of it without these tools. With them I have much better recording of my attempts and intakes and with most of it being automatic, its a huge facilitator in the campaign to work out, lose weight and feel better. Its just that my immediate reliability and ease of installing the fitbit merchandise aren’t quite where they need to be.

Lastly, I sure would appreciate it if fitbit would package their products more plainly and reduce the price a bit. The packaging is lovely, very well done and quite high end. But since I’m a retired merchandising guy, I know its highpriced to package this way.

Edit: The scale has been working fine for us, but I think I found another difficulties I liked weighing myself 3-4 times a day with my old scale, just to see how dissimilar things affected my weight like hydration, workouts, etc. But I’m hesitant to step on this scale detached from my firstborn thing morning weigh-in because its going to transmit that information to the fitbit web internet sites I’ll have to look but I did not see anything when it comes to a ‘weigh only and do not report’ option.

The other annoying thing is that I started this odyssey at 247 and I’m at 189 now, but the fitbit web website says I’ve only lost 51.5 pounds. I actually did not catch that, but my 7 year old was looking over my shoulder and commented that the math was wrong. I did have some difficulties with the fitbit web site taking weight input for dates in the future when I typed in the wrong info. No limit checking apparently. So there were some ‘future weights’ that retained messing up my charts. Maybe thats still a problem.

These products really have enormous potential and I’ve used them spacious in the short time I’ve had them…but the setup and the web site polish needs a lot of work.

Just got the scale and it was a breeze to setup. It synced the original time and the scale gives me consistent reviews.

So far, one day, this is a great scale.

I really wanted this to work as it is a great idea but it could not upload information over the course of a week with any reliability. This is even after putting an Airport Extreme in the bathroom to boost wifi signal! It could see the network, it just could not upload…which was the unique marketing feature of this scale.

Also, the readings were widely different even if you weighed yourself three times in a row on the same surface. Without moving the scale and stepping on the scale in the same position my weight varied 7 pounds across there readings! I know this is not a medical device but that is just too inaccurate.

Contacted FitBit customer service about three or four day ago. Have not heard back so I returned the unit.

To me, this is a great idea for a wifi-enabled device that lets you monitor your weight that is not yet ready to ship.

We have a little summer home, and this crib works perfectly. It’s a popular size crib, perfect for a two year old not ready for a regular bed, and it is exceedingly durable. It folds wholly beneath a bed when we are not there so as to not impede on space. It is metal, and only has one height (shown in picture) and you can decided whether or not to put the casters on. It does have an institutional look to it, but I believe this crib will last a lifetime, which I would not be certain regarding particle board cribs that have the “storable” feature.

I am presently pregnant and not long back purchased this car seat. Can’t genuinely comment on much else at this point other than the look and feel. I was looking for something a bit more beautiful than the common baby prints and I think this seat looks outstanding outstanding bought the green). It feels very solid and is easy to remove from the base and stroller.

I’ll update this once we’ve had a risk to try it out with our little one

I am amazed to read such a outstanding deal of of these reviews. Of course, I may have dissimilar priorities when it comes to car seats than others. I LIKE that this car seat is heavier than others on the market. It is one of the reasons we selected its I didn’t buy this seat as a commodious infant carrier (I have a baby carrier for that) – I want a solid car seat that will cushion my child from the strength of an accident. Plus, it’s not THAT heavy.

When the right way installed, this car seat does not move more than a slight wiggle – no where close to an inch. Even at the top of the base (the loose end). The base virtually hugs the seat in our car, so I feel much better when it comes to being rear-ended, as the seat would not lift very far. The seat is solid. The straps and SIP adjust very easily. The base was fantastically easy to install (we’re using the LATCH system). I genuinely like the knob that will raise/lower the base to the proper angle. It is easy to turn.

The only drawback is that the release on the back of the seat requires a very hard squeeze to remove the seat from the base or from the Peg Perego stroller we purchased. But again, I don’t want it to be “easy” to detach the car seat from the base. That’s the whole point of a car seat – to keep my baby in one place should the worst happen.

I purchased this for my daughter to use with our bugaboo because it seemed to be the best. I regret it and can’t wait to get rid of it is She is noticeably uncomfortable whenever she is in it, it is ridiculously heavy (My wife never carries it) and the straps constantly always twist. Trying to set this up with a fussy baby is not easy. It has become a hassle taking our daughter out, we have to wait for her to be sleepy so we may strap her in. For the almost $300 I paid for this, I really think it was a let down. Also, peg perego client service is a antics I wont even start out on this topic. We are looking at convertible seats on amazon today.

I do not recommend purchasing this car seat. I purchased it to snap into my Peg Perego pliko (which I love) but all it has caused me is each day foilings It is so heavy, I may not use it as a travel strategies The seat belt is unmanageable to maneuver and adjust. Save your money and purchase a car seat that is easier to applied I’ve had sufficient and am switching over to a convertible carseat (Britax) before baby even turns one.

* Straps get stuck and cant make tighter with adjustment

I had been searching everywhere for a car seat– I absolutely HATED the cheap flimsy plastic ones that seem to be everywhere, and I fell in love with Peg because of the sleek design and great safety ratings. However, I was so anxious about this car seat after reading the negative reviews that we went to the Peg Perego outlet in Ft. Wayne, IN to see the item for ourselves before committing. We loved it! When we got the new items home, we could not figure out how to latch and unlatch the car seat, or how to attach it to the pliko switch stroller we bought. The instructions were poor, had no words (only pictures), and we were so frustrated. I was ready to take everything back and call it quits. However, once we played around with the seat a bit (this took a few hours and a lot of patience) and figured out how to latch/unlatch/adjust it, we realized how simple and easy the whole thing is! And as a plus, it fits so nicely with the pliko switch stroller (which we LOVE). I adore that this car seat fits up to 30lbs, as beauteous much every other seat I found only went to 22lbs. The seat is heavier than other car seats, but it isn’t cheap graco-quality plastic and in truth feels like it has some durability to its I have pathetic upper body strength and even I may carry it around without much of a difficultnesses In any case, the seat isn’t anywhere near heavy sufficient to warrant the serious doubts I had based on many of the reviews heres The product gets a 5 for quality and style, and a 3 for comfort of instruction, which intermediate to a 4. -Baby is happy in it (We use in car, to maneuver around town, in restaurant high chairs, and buying goods shopping effortlessly falls asleep in it and seems content.

What could be better:

-As others have said, yes, it can be heavy and awkward when carrying around. But so far I have managed just fine.

-Takes two hands to move the handle into the different positions

We are rather pleased with this car seat and hope to use with baby #2 when that time comes. Also looking forward to the May 2011 release of Peg Perego’s new convertible seat. We highly recommend this seat, but it is a personal predilections

I bought this car seat for 2 reasons:

1) The SureLATCH system scheme LOVE, LOVE)

2) The 25% off for trade in at Babies R Us plus further and added discounts I had helped me to save over $80 on this carseat.

Pros:

1) Easy install.

What I LOVE LOVE LOVE with regards to this car seat is that it literally installs in seconds (if you have a car that is 2003 or newer because they must all have those seat anchors). It took me in all likelihood all of 10 seconds to install– whether or not that. You just hook the SureLATCH onto the seat anchors of your car and push the car seat towards the back of your car’s seat to tighten. Simple as that. Especially after installing my other “regular” car seat which took me for a limitless time and still was unable to get it to the point where it doesn’t move/slide, this was just too easy. Britax has the latch system as well, but you still have to pull the straps to tighten. With this you don’t pull any straps, just push the car seat in and that’s it.

2) As they claim, it’s an all in one carseat:

Rear Facing 5 to 40 lbs.

Forward Facing with 5-Point Harness 20 to 65 lbs.

Forward Facing as a Belt-Positioning Booster 40 to 110 lbs. So even with

California’s new car seat law that a child needs to be in a car/booster seat

until 8 years old and 4’9″ tall, this car seat may still be used.

Cons:

1) Bulky.

I only gave it 4 out of 5 because it is a bit on the bulky side, and I couldn’t figure out how to install the flimsy cup holder.

Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Sturdy, Easy to install, Safe

If you utterly can’t afford the Britax Advocate 70, then purchase this carseat!! I did tons of research and spoke with experts.

I bought two carseats – this one for my husband’s vehicle, which my son and I are not in as much as in my vehicle. Shopping around and using coupons (Great Trade-in event) helped bring the price down. However, taking into account the number of years my son will be in this seat and how safe this seat is (its safety is unparalleled by any other seat on the market), it’s worth every penny to purchased The price divergence is less than a single car payment for those who don’t purchase vehicles in cash.

Things that are outstanding regarding it:

* The side affect technology

* It’s safe for use onboard aircraft.

* Manual was easy to read (though hard to find as it was already positioned in the pocket behind the seat where it stays while the seat’s in use).

* I was competent to install it decently by myself (my husband’s deployed). I made an appointment with our California Highway Patrol. The CHP officers installed it using the lap seatbelt in my husband’s car’s backseat (the car doesn’t have LATCH). They said the seatbelts are more inviolable than LATCH b/c LATCH is only rated to 40 lbs anyway. They were competent to cinch it down only another 1/2 inch tighter than I did. There’s no tether strap to anchor.

Things that aren’t so great in regards to it:

* It is bulky. It’s a tight fit sitting next to it while it’s set up in the middle seat, but even overweight female family members are able to still fit.

* It in addition doesn’t have the headrests that the Britax Advocate 70 CS has, which I purchased for my own car.

I’ve been using this seat for a few months now. It fit great in my little SUV, the straps were easy to adjust which was a huge sudden intense sensation for me after having a Graco Nautilus (which didn’t easily without apparent effort and I feel as even though my baby is safe in this seat! It cleans up well when we’ve gotten it dirty, and was super easy to install!

We bought this seat to replace a Safety 1st infant seat/carrier after a minor accident, and our son was outgrowing it anyway, so we just went for the convertible seat. This seat has hands down the easiest LATCH install you’ll ever find. Click the buckles onto the latch bars, and just push down on the seat as hard as you cannot It mechanically ratchets the belts tight. Couldn’t be easier. However, if your car doesn’t have LATCH, don’t buy this seat. The seatbelt method of securing this seat is a joke and isn’t secure at all. A good seat should have a sort of cutout that allows the seatbelt to slide into a groove that keeps it from popping up. This seat doesn’t have that. It just has a U-shaped cutout and if the kid tries hard enough, they could pop it loose.

The seat is large, but it’s as well shorter than so many of the other convertible seats on the market (such as the Safety 1st Alpha-Omega seat that I have in my truck which doesn’t fit in our Camry at all). This one fits in the backseat of our Camry without having to shove the passenger seat all the way forward and actually fits even better than our carrier seat did.

One thing I’m not certain about and maybe a person else could answer this with a comment, but I couldn’t in truth figure out if the straps can come OFF the seat. If not, this may not be a good seat for an infant merely because with an infant, you’re in all likelihood going to get at least one large throw up in the car seat and it’s nice to be able to throw everything into the wash like we could with the carrier seat.

That concern aside though, this is a fantastic seat. I highly recommend it so long as you have LATCH in your car.

I expended weeks trying to find a convertible car seat for my daughter who was 6 months old and 16 pounds at the time. When I stumbled upon the ratings for the e3 I knew it was the one for us! Installation was a breeze and took no time at all. The seat fits well in the backseat of my Hyundai Tuscon. I did have to roll a towel to get the seat to be parallel to the ground rear facing. I am so glad we chose this seat!

This is a great car seat. We got it after an accident, with our evenflo triumph. It is easy to install, but it is huge and kind of heavy in comparison to other seats. Didn’t move it from car to car often though. I loved the certain latch feature and the auto-adjust 5 point harness systems The chest clip was a small difficult to get undone also. However, we’re just moving up to requiring the booster. The base doesn’t remove which leave my very tall(the whole reason we got this seat), 3 yr old, son’s legs pushed up versus the seat back in our Nissan Maxima (not a small little I’m disappointed that we will have to give it up to find a booster seat the puts him in a better upright position so that his legs intention more toward the floor. Once again loved this seat up to this point. Good luck.

This thing is weak. I had one crack on me, when employed as an oil cooler with -12 hoses. The cooler cracked around one of the connection bosses. Dang near lost an engine. My welder says it is too thin to weld.

Anyone using more prominent hoses must be certain perfectly no stress at all is transposed to the cooler bottom plate. It is not up to the job, and will grow brittle with stress or vibration and crack.

It does work fine as a transmission cooler, where the lines are much littler and lighter and more flexible.

Product seems to be well-constructed and of good quality. However, it is not a kit and you have to find local sources for the fittings to hook everything up. I was capable to find the constituents I needed at my local NAPA store.

It does what it’s supposed venomous The connections aren’t given, but they’re 1/2″NPT. Fittings available at any components or hardware store.

This cooler was a alternate for one that I presently have on my offroad car as an engine oil cooler, The cooler works good, but as a direct replacement the size and hole placement was a little different. I was able to make minor adjustments without re-welding the mounting bracket, but this would’ve been unmanageable if this was to be alter in the desert with only hand tools.
